How to write a good prompt

  1. Say who it should be. Start with a role: “You are a patient maths tutor” or “You are a friendly shop assistant”.
  2. Give the task and details. Say exactly what you want and add the facts only you know: who it’s for, dates, prices, level.
  3. Ask for a format. A table, 5 bullet points, under 100 words, a WhatsApp message, a step-by-step list.
  4. Show an example. Paste something you like and say “in this style”.
  5. Keep talking. The first answer is a draft. Reply “shorter”, “more formal”, “give 3 more options” or “ask me questions first”.
  6. Check it. AI can sound sure and still be wrong. Check facts, numbers and names before you use them.

🔒 Don’t paste passwords, card numbers or other people’s private details into any AI.

These prompts work with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot and Perplexity and most other AI assistants. Wah-Kit isn’t connected to or endorsed by any of them; the names belong to their owners. The buttons copy the prompt and open the assistant; ChatGPT, Perplexity and Grok can also start with it filled in.
